Start doing push ups and situps and running now. The main part of boot camp is physical. The other part is mental. Just remember the drills really have nothing against you. They just want you to jump when told to and not ask why. Do exactly what they say when they say it and you'll be fine.

Run run run. The run some more. The more you run... the better. Your first pt test, hold out and don't give 100%. that way your next one, you show improvement. If your too fast, the D.S's will get pissed and tell you to slow down. Learn your chain of command, learn your general orders, don't expect sleep for the first 3 days or so. Don't eat the cake, the Drill sergeants will tell you its ok... but its not. Some things to do before basic: Learn how to read a map, use a compass, shoot a line, and say ''Yes Drill Sergeant!!!'' If you have a buddy thats been in, have him show you how to march. About face, and he most important... Half right face, front leaning rest position.
PS: The first time you meet the drills should be on a bus. You will think '' What the hell did I get myself into?'' But if you stop yourself, and think too much, you'll just make it worse. Once you get your mailing address, give it too us. We will send you a care package. Good luck.

Thats 100 push ups none stop. Same with situps. Start running at least 2 miles every other day and try to get your 2 mile time to at least 14 minutes.

You'll prolly be in Ft Benning Ga. Just down the road from me.

    and the overhead hand clap...
There was this one were you acted like you were riding a motorcycle, and had to lean into the corners, and wave at the ladies.
And if you have to '' utilize the latrine'' never say its an emergency, or you'll have to make siren noises and make a circle in the air with your hand while running to the bathroom. AND YOU BETTER HAVE A BUDDY WITH YOU!!!
