thats that anodized paint stuff... Make sure if you use what ^^^ said that you dont run the paint, cause it will show.

We use Bulldog in out shop on all plastics. Its a great product. What I would do is: Sand it with grey scotchbrite really well. Wash it. Tape up the area around the chrome so you dont get any overspray. Do a pretty nice coat of bull dog. Coat of sealer. 2-3 coats of base. 2-3 coats of clear. Sand and buff and Walla. Looks great. If you run anycoat it will have to be sanded. Its best to run the clear if you are going to run because it will sand and buff out. If you run any of the other stuff you will have to let it dry sand it then start back where you left off. If you've ever sprayed anything before you wont run such a little piece. Or there is always this option
