If your going with HPT, then I would defiantly get the pro version, as you can not log a wide band O2 sensor or do black box logging with the basic version. A WBo2 is probable one of the most import tools in tuning.

Everyone here on LS1truck seems to use HPTuners , I like EFILIve , just because that is what I have gotten use to , either one is a good tuning solution .
Both have their good points and bad points .
Now what is a tune again?

Wish AEM made a "plug-n-play" box for our trucks.
Accuracy and versatility of a stand alone like FAST, but plugs into factory harness.

They make them for the Camaro's and I have one in my Mustang.
One kick-ass PCM with custom software. You name it or dream of it
and it can do it, from turbo and nitrous control to launch/traction control
    thru engine management.
    2002 Tahoe 4.8 - soon to be turbo'd - SOLD
    1989 Mustang - LX Vert - 351W-TT - 2inches of dust covering it
    2012 Raptor - 497rwhp at 10psi
If you aint breaking - you aint going fast enough

I've used both and I like EFILive much more than HPT. I find it more user friendly, and the licensing system is much simpler.

if your worried about support, don't. on this forum hp is more popular, but on allot of others, efilive is the ****. efilive has its own forum thats very helpfull. i havnt used hptuners so i cant say which is better, but efilive is very user friendly.

yea, dont base anything off of this webstie, this site EXTREMELY bias to a few things. there are plenty of options out there, not everyone drives an ls1 with a turbo(becasue blowers are a no no here) and uses hp tuners lol

theres tons of support for either one of the 2 programs. i cant say which id prefer... i use tunerproRT, im sure nobody even knows what that is around here tho lol, obd1 stuff.
