    Habit I'd like to BREAK!!!!

Once again... my truck's beggin' for me to give it a rest. :judge:

Click there ---> 13-Second Pass (No Video, Sorry)

Click there ---> Tapping/Knocking Noise (Video Clip)

Drove it there, and it ran consistent 13.6 - 13.7 second runs (6 times). Number 7 crippled the motor. :bomb: Dunno what happened just yet, but there's a terrible knock on the top, driver side of the motor. Hoping the bottom-end is undamaged, but there's no telling 'til I have time to pull it apart.
'Twas fun to see it run solid for a while. Yup, she left the track on this

Not to jynx myself even more, but unless there's a new motor going in, that'll probably be the last time it sees a track... there's not much more I can AFFORD to make it faster than it ran.... at least not as fast as I wanna make it.

It will be OK. Let's hope that's a rattle or tap and not a knock....a top end knock is worse than a bottom end rattle....LOL

It increases/decreases with RPMS... goes quiet for a couple seconds, then comes back loud. Maybe I'll take a video clip of it, and post it for a trivia challenge. LOL

Guess what's causing the knock! LMAO

failed lifter was the last thing a buddy and I said before loading it on the trailer. Only additional thing to worry about is if it IS a failed lifter, did it damage the cam? If that's the case, got a set of stock lifters out of my '02 Yukon 5.3L oiled up, and ready to go in. Just have to invest in another cam... assuming cam bearings are fine too.

Aww hell... this is getting expensive. LOL

Bah!!! A 12-second pass would've been WORTH it!

Video clip of tapping/knocking added to fist post! Let the speculating begin.
