Yup...that is the only way you know its a V8...or by the sidewall height of the tires... Yeah man--they can move pretty well. My friend has one--and there is a decent little online community for the LS crew.

The V8 LS came out with 280 hp in 2003. The earlier V8 LS 3.9 was 250 hp.

True duals from the factory also, these things are basically Jag's with the lincoln logo.

I'm sure the V6 had duals. Some of the early cars had 5 speeds also, but they dropped production around 2001/02. I have a 02 V8 Sport Model with
    21k on it.

Yup. They were pretty quick when optioned with the manual. The shifting action was a little sloppy (and the center console kinda got in the way--cause your elbow didn't have room to move), but they aren't bad for a 4 door car. I had done several Ride-and-Drive programs with them back in 199 when they first came out... on the V8 models--turn off the TC and you can do some sweet burnouts!

My old man's got a v8 LS and we race all the time .. he tears me up in the 5.3. It's got enough to get out of it's own way then some. Out of the hole depends if his traction control is on.. Sometimes he punches it too hard and shuts the motor down haha
