Yes, I have never heard of nor have I ever had a belt hold strong enough to be able to spin off the fan clutch.
Like what was already said, don't slip, you will probably break something that you will need. Much less your hands, but hell, who are we kidding? We all pretty much have the same crappy looking hands that have been really messed up from time to time. I know that is how my hands look. And I look about 7-10 years older becouse of welding and working with my dad on some diesel trucks when I was younger. I guess that would also explain the constant back pain that I have.
