Nope no dent - there's a groove that unrs down the center of the cowl....maybe that's what you see?

oh i see it now, it looked like the dent was near the end of the cowl but its just the lighting on it. they must have put the bend in it for strength.

Nope - the bend is for HP - it focuses the incoming air into the channel and...yeah - it's for strength.
