Good call on that. I have seen several guys launch heavy in 4WD and bent the chit out of them.

Im not making enough power to bend them atleast not bad, my tie rod angles suck because of cranking the bars to fit 35s but Im only running a 365/752 tune so its not that tough on the tie rods, Im worried about bending on out at the deer lease. My buddy was driving my truck while I drove my bobcat and the front tires were spinning going over some stuff and the damn wheels toe'd in so damn bad its scared the **** out of me, I didnt realize how easily all that **** bent in and he wasnt even on it hard. So steering upgrades are in the very near future otherwise I dont think itll make it through deer season, just dont have time to install the stuff.

Juat for the hell of it a pic from my recent elk hunting trip to northern NM, 2K mile road trip pulling a 20' enclosed trailer weighing just under 10K running 75-80 averaged 12.5mpg not bad considering I was pushing a GCVW of almsot 19K and two flying bricks through the air. This pic is at the continental divide

Yeah, that gunna happen when you crank the torsions that much. How far did you crank them? I did a 6'' Pro Comp dual shock lift on my friend's 08 3/4 Dmax CCSB truck last week and we cranked them up to get the wheels to have 0 camber. But when we took it to have it aligned at the local 4WD shop, they cranked them even more. Looks killer though...

Yeah--tell me about it! I had to trim the inner fender well liners of my friend's 08 to get the dual shock tower to fit in there...as well as his 37" tires. PITA!

Yeah, it is always good to keep the bed away from the fifth wheel! LOL... When you tow it, did you have to put blocks under the trailer axles to lift it, or are you towing it with the trailer at an angle?

You truck looks good fool! Did you paint the lower valence? Or is it still factory plastic?

The truck is stock height suspension wise in the back the only lift it has is the difference in stock tire size and the 35s so its not high enough to cause any problems yet. With th epin weight of the fifth wheel it squats the rear of the truck abotu 2-3" so I have plenty of clearance. When I do a cognito 4-6" lift Ill be putting a 2" block in the rear, removing the overload, adding sulastic rear shackles, air bags and cognito traction bars, between all that in the rear it should ride good, lift it a bit and when Im going down the road with the fifth wheel sit level and when I go into a gas station ro somewhere, where its goign to twist and get close to the bed rail I can deflated teh bags and get a couple more inches of clearance.

The lower valance is teh stock black plastic, if I got it painted it would last all of one trip to the deer lease before it got scratched up. My hood and grille are dinged up bad enough as it is. That ceramaclear crap didnt work worth a ****.

Ahh...gotchya. What has dinged and scratched the truck so bad? Just driving out at the lease or you following too close on the lease roads??? hehe. I understand about the truck getting like that at leases...its like the changing of the tides--its gunna happen. It gets real fun when you get hammered and decide to go drunk mudding and plow over saplings and try to spot-light critters...

Light scuffs on scratches on the side from just normal use, my truck in my opinion looks damn good but I still use it like a truck and it has the battle scars to show for it. There are two big chips on the front of the hood from a couple big rocks that got thrown up off a road that had just been ground in preparation for some new black top. I wouldnt expect any paint to make it through that, in fact where one rock hit it dinged the hood pretty damn bad. Now the grille is chipping away off the the area where it used to be chrome, the reason for that I dont know, Ive put a ton of miles on my truck since Daniel painted it and alot of bugs. Its going to have to be repainted with maybe a bit more prep work or maybe paint just doesnt have a chance on the grille, I dont know much about paint so Ill let him decide what to do when he sees it. I wish OEM SS grilles were cheaper. My truck doesnt see mud pits, just muddy roads, no offroading in the woods it scratches the truck too bad, just nasty rough as deer lease roads. Spotlighting for pigs is fun

Yes I have, its not too bad of a deal, probably about an 8 hour job for a first timer, after the truck is paid off it will be getting a 68mm cheetah turbo, 600hp and 1200 rwtq has a nice ring to it, that ought to be enough to keep me happy for a DD rig.
