Oh there will be plenty of pics of the carnage!
Also, Id venture a guess that since these were about a week after the transmission started acting funny - they didnt help the cause.

Good luck with the shop out there. On a side doing burn outs on an already hurt trans was not the best idea unless that was your intentions. To kill it! Vince

On your next tranny go ahead and get an FLT. You wont regret it.
99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.
Looks like the transfer case adapter so maybe the output shaft broke?
Close...but the output shaft didnt break. The housing just loosened istelf up some howand obviously you can see the damage that resulted.
Any ideas what may have caused this? Crap luck? I have full service records on the truck - tranny has never been touched as far as I can see, truck has 43k on the clock.
Burned up all the clutch bands/steels/frictions - a direct result of running low on fluid due to the cracked housing Im sure. Gotta clean the rig off tomorrow, tailgate and rear quarters have a good ammount of tranny fluid on them. It was raining hard the day it happened so I didnt notice how bad it was![]()
