my two cents, keep the engine efi, slap the 60e tranny on its ass end, forget the intake and be happy.![]()

Ive been around these engines enough to know its stupid, but I want it to look good when I pop the hood. Im gonna be doing a few more agressive mods, so I might actually be able to use some of the power the Vic jr will make lol, seriously, I just want to use the Vic Jr cause it looks badass IMO, I know they make power a little higher in the RPM range than I really want, but Ill deal with it. Shouldnt be too different than my 5.3 with the 218/224 cam running on the stock converter lol

I honestly don't understand the use of a carburetor on any LS series engine. The way they came from GM, they start ALOT better, they run ALOT better from the slowest idle to wide open throttle & everything in between, AND they get the BEST fuel mileage in both city & highway driving, than any other V-8 engine that GM has EVER designed. Overall driveability is also a night & day difference. Not only that, but with a simple, affordable, computer tune...all of the above qualities can actually be IMPROVED upon.

do efi and the Vic Jr.
I remember reading somewhere before I dropped in my 6.0L/4L80 combo into my 84 that your mileage sucks from switching it over to a carb. It said something along the lines of if it's fuel injected, leave it fuel injected. Its designed to run a certain way. Alot of people I talked to told me to run a carb and don't even mess with the efi, but that would have defeated the entire purpose of my build. If I wanted to run a carb, I would have dropped in a 454 or something lol It drove me absolutely nuts when everyone kept telling me what I should do and how I should have done it.

I got a old school 350 for it too, but for what it would cost for me to get it where I want, I could do the GEN III swap for way cheaper. I think Im going to stay EFI, and just get the Vic Jr intake. Fortunatly I could care less about the mileage it gets, it wont be driven enough to really matter
