well tonight i went to the houston smackdown to put some smack down. and my smack down was on the truck. i spun when i launched. caught grip and started to gain and BOOOOOMMM she let loose!!!! she would not go and was clunking loudly. coasted her to the end and the rear locked up. not sure yet if it is the rear end as well as the tranny. either one or both are gone. now i need to find someone to build me a good tranny or go 4L80E. i will find what i am going to do this weekend. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Well shit. lol I'd drop the driveshaft first and give it a roll to see if it's the rearend or not.

If not, see if Century can still help you out somehow on the trans, they can take more abuse than that unless you got a junk build. Which I doubt.

Which part did you eat? Maybe that output shaft again?

Ah ha! So it was that output shaft again!

Remember torque is what breaks stuff, not horsepower. Nitrous makes a shitload of torque when it hits, I wouldn't be suprised if you were getting 225tq or so out of that 150hp shot of nitrous.

I think Trans-Center sells a billet output shaft, it's about $350 from what I recall...

The problem is the output is like 27 spline and the input is 33 spline, it's considerably weaker.
