    what do you guys think

im thinking about selling my truck and getting a G8. When i lived in colorado and needed something to haul my 4-wheeler and go camping and stuff like that, a truck was real nice to have, but now that i live in the city and the way gas is, i dont see any reason to have a huge truck. you guys know what all i have done to it and i have changed the oil twice and clean the inside and outside about once a week. ive got it fully detailed twice, so its in VERY good and clean condition. about what could i get for it do you think? it has 12000 miles on it

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

The G8s are awesome! I've PDIed a few of them at work, we've only got the V6 models in so far though. They're still pretty quick! Comparable to a Cadillac CTS. I can't wait to drive the GT model, they're coming out in a 6-speed next year. Might be considering the same thing you are.

A G8 will be slightly better on gas than your truck. But with the way truck resale/trade-in prices have tanked lately due to the gas prices, I would say to keep it. It is a freakin Denali for God's sake. The bad arse L92 motor/6L60e tranny that is in it should be reason enough to keep it!

You aren't going to get anywhere near what you paid for it.

gas isnt my main concern. im mostly just tired of having to drive a big truck and it would be so much easier and cheaper to make a G8 fast, especially if they do actually launch the GXP, same engine and trans as my truck, with half the weight and rear wheel drive. i doubt it will ever happen, or at least any time soon, just something ive been thinking about

We've had two 6.0 G8's come through here. Pretty nice cars and the prices aren't horrible. You'll probably get trade offers of around $24-26K since a new one can be had for around $34K with all discounts. Yes, I know it stickered near $50K.

Thats pretty much the fun of haveing a fast truck. Trucks aren't suppose to be fast. But when they are they are way cooler that anything else. Say you have a 11.sec vette. Big deal any one can take a vette into the 11s with some spray, now a 11sec truck that is bad ass then they have to

God created turbo lag so nitrous trucks could have a chance.
