Well i got around to installing headers finally, and evrything yu guys said about passenger side header install was true.Holy @#$% what a pain in the ass,i wasted 2hrs and invented some new cuss words.trying to get it in.Drivers side was a breeze. As far as qaulity there are top notch no fitment issues,no rubbing on steering linkage,or frame. And Flyer thanks for the tip on the o2 sensors.i didnt get any check engine lights,as i drove to have them welded up.As far as sotp feel low end is huge improvment, definatly better midrange.Ive only had 20 miles of learn time so im sure more will come as Nelson tune gets used to it.Oh by the way 8hrs and 13min start to finish

Glad the hear that you got them installed. Is there any sound difference?...as in does it sound meaner? I remember when i put headers on my s-10, that was a ...took me 3 days, and lots of broken (but still functional) parts. but now with the 1500, i have 3 times as much room. hopefuly this will only take a day on this one if i decide to put headers on it.

Im running the maganflow cat back 3inch single out sounds nice.Heres the weird part my exhaust sounds cleaner,a few peeps said it sounds like a ls1 reving. totaly diffrent exhasut tone after headers.i also swear my air intake sounds like a turbo now its weird. And blown 02 i wish i would have been so lucky i think since i have a 4x4 it made it tougher.to install.i think 2wd would be a breeze. With all the mods in last 2 weeks i have to launch in 4hi now and go to 2hi once im rolling.

The long tubes sound killer to install. The shorties drop right in and install is about 4 hours. It also made the exhaust connection a breeze. No drive to the muffler shop with open headers.

How much HP/TQ gain with the long tubes over the shorties?
