    I know it ultimately is up to me, but what do you like?

    i'd say whatever one you can find at a good reasonable price to restore or start a good project on would be great!!! good luck on whichever you decide to do ..

    Id like to see the 55 stepside. My dads got that '51 and when I get old enough its going to be mine and I would love to see any LSX platform in something like that. Although I dont know if I would ever do it to the '51 it would be cool to see

    s-10s are good for racing ,theyre light .1 of our ls motors ,and youd fly.plus you can get em a dime a dozen on racing junk.com craigslist ,etc.already setup for v8.gives ya more money for mods,ya know.just my 2 cents.i had a 62 nova on theyre for a month allsetup for racing and i got literally 5 v8 s10 swap offers.although just today i swapped it for a 2wd 2500 hd,6.0.any way id say s10 for speed,and any of the others as long as they have an ls motor.like i said you can mod the heck out of the s10 cheap,wich means more mods.
