Which cable holder did you use the one off the old tranny or new tranny?

I used the new one. I noticed it was turned the other way from the 03 but it really doesn't look like its in a bind or anything. I just thought there was a way to adjust out or in with the cable.
1996 GMC extended cab, 2003 5.3/auto
Mine would not fit with the old bracket it was alittle too short and I was wondering if it might be causing some problems. Just a thought...
