Please use a proven (lightly used?) '08 80. There were some issues with the 1st issue brand new '07 90's.

So, let's talk about this.

I have a NBS '07 Silverado 5.3, Turbocharged of course, at the shop. I'm building a 408 stroker for it (parts just came in today), the trans is a weak 60e, and it's been "built" already. It just broke this week.

The customer wants a proven trans, so the 80e or 6L80e is the only option.

The problem is, I can't find a new body style truck that came with an 80e. I have found some 07 classic HD trucks, but they have the classic style pcm (two connector aluminum box), 6.0L, and 80e. The new body '08 HD trucks have the 6.0L and 6speed in them.
The problem is this truck here, is a nbs '07 with two modules, one for the tcm and one for the ecm.
If i want a 6speed in here, I need to flash the ecm with a calibratoin that supports the 6pseed auto.
I don't know of a nbs truck that has two modules and has an 80e.

All of the 6speed autos I know of have the integrated tcm and all the 80e trucks have the classic style pcm, which wont work in this truck.

Do you? That would be much easier.

My plan is to get a nbs engine harness from an HD, 6.0L/6spd. Make it work in the '07 1/2 ton, then install the trans, all the wiring should be there from the donor harness, and see if it works.

I'm open for suggestions, thanks,
