    Is there anything wrong with a MR gasket thermostat? I have had it for about 5 months and it works great. 1/2 the price y'all are mentioning. Is it the name? Is it because I bought it at auto zombie?

    Same one I got Jeff - mine was $18 plus shipping. None of the parts stores could locate one. What did you tell them it was for?

    The newer trucks have a separate thermostat like the old school SBC's. The older trucks (early 2000's) the thermostat is built into the thermostat housing, just like the LS1's.

    It was on the shelf by the chrome and small block isle. 04 ls1. yes they are different from yours to mine.
