Use a pry bar and push against the frame and the servo to push it in to get the snap ring off... Once that is off, you can pull out the servo. Some tranny fluid will come with it, so make sure to have a shop rag and the ground below the servo. Once you've got it out, put the new stuff on and use the same technique with the pry bar to push the servo all the way in to reinstall the snap ring. It prolly take all of 20-30 minutes to do...
Paper gasket? We dont need no stinking paper gasket!.
Anyway it is about as simple as stated above, the only gotcha is when you put the cover back on you will have to push the cover back into the case with the prybar to expose the ring grove. Now the tricky part is holding this depressed while installing the retainig ring. Personally I used my chin to hold the prybar handle so to free up both hands to manipulate the ring. Should not take long, and when you get in there you will realize what I am talking about.

Once you get the Vette servo assembly installed you only need to get a metal forward accumulator and white spring and you will be set. I dont have a shift kit, and with those parts it shifts hard at WOT. Not nearly as hard as a good shift kit though, so dont expect that.
