    strait pipes on stock 5.3.

I have a single flowmaster 40 single in duals all the way out the back and i'm kinda tired of it. What would it sound like to just go strait pipes dumped around the rear axle. Are the cats enough restriction to keep it from popping and sounding like ****? If i done this would i want to y it of or just dump the single pipe.Thanks.

I ran that for about 2 months. Loud as phuck and It killed my bottom end. IMO at leasty get a single chamber muffler before you dump the exhaust.

Did it pop and sound like crap or did it have a deep tone to it. Did you just run single pipe or true duals.

I had stock manifolds, stock cats, and no muffler. Sounded great at WOT. but normal drivin, sounded sloppy. I noticed a BIG difference with just adding a muffler.

Yeah man, it is going to be loud--but I like loud. The exhaust will be open to the point where there is little to no backpressure--which will result in loss of low-end torque. That will make it feel a little sluggish down low...

TxStVanWilder's truck has pretty much no exhaust and it sounds awesome.
