Nothin the way its going I pulled a valve cover today after a really loud valvetrain noise appeared. Only 1 valve spring was at the factory installed height on the pass side so i pulled the drivers and 3 were good. #8 exhaust valve is below the keeper. It was opening the valve be the keeper
I ordered some locks and as soon as my valve spring compressor arrives im going to do some investigating...

DAMN BRO......i had a set of 921's have "SPRING BINDING" and it did the exact same thing....i pushed the valve and retainers through the cap and it damn near droped....my only warning was MISFIRES on the #6 cylinder......

not to scare you but my vavle did kiss the piston but i was running a REALLY HIGH lift cam with DECKED heads......

if you touched a valve then it is MOST LIKELY BENT.....i would think long and hard about how you go about fixing it....unless you can AFFORD to lose the whole motor......my valve left the TINIEST of marks on the piston and YES it was bent when removed and inspected.......

NITROUS BACKFIRE got mine......well NITROUS sprayed into the rev limiter HARD.........

They guys up in midwest only know it as my truck, Woo doesnt post over there much.

I have never taken that truck down the track, im to scared i am going to screw up shiften on it, but i have taken it down some dark roads late at night, and given some friends some pretty wild rides. In fact i made a girl scream i scared her... lol. But that was her first ride in anything any kind of fast! Lol

Wow...that must be nice. I'm tryin to organize some legal streetracing here in my town. I have racers on my side aswell as county workers willing to build the road, but I'm not sure who to talk to as far as making it legal(besides the cops). Hopefully we can get it going soon that way people can stop racing on our narrow/bumpy backroads.

1982 Silverado - just an old truck motor I had sitting around the house.
