New TR55 plugs gapped properly will give you the opportunity to run a bit more timing... If you make a few baseline runs and then switch the plugs and rework your timing tables, you won't be able to see ALL of the benefits until about 200-300 miles down the road. Remember--our PCMs need some time to work with the motor to get everything working in sync... You may not see any real HP gains by switching the plugs immediately, but you will notice a smoother idle, more linear power delivery and slightly better fuel economy...
when you just flash a new tune then it doesnt need to relearn anything, but when you rewrite the entire vcm then the pcm will need to learn...his pcm will just be flashed not rewritten so you will see all the benefits
