Last week comeing home for night school. I see a red ford Ranger with ground effects, and poor paint job..

I start to take off and I see Ranger comeing on my rear view FAST!!. So let him get next to me. I hit it maybe half-way.. I hear something on the Ranger sound like not sure.

We get to the next light and he tell's me 1,2,3. OK!!!!

I let him go and yes it's NOS, I see the NOS tanks in the back of the truck. So I hit it and I pass him and he's way, way, way back there.

I see him on the next light and I see the Lightning badges. So I'm sure it's a backyard paint job, just looks SICK!!!..

The guy never looked at me again. Looked pissed

    Ohh well

A few months ago they had one in Truckin' magazine. I think it was supposed to be the only prototype out there and I believe it was purple. It didn't have any nitrous, but had the Lightning badging and rims and engine/supercharger setup. If it was the same one, you should have definately heard some loud supercharger whine.

SLP makes one called the thunderbolt, it has a spoiler, rims, front bumper, fake hood scoop and cai. I think thats about it, maybe some decals and interior stuff, but no real power mods at all.

Maybe it was a painted up ranger GT....5-speed 2.9L six.....WORLD makes heads for those things...I've seen one run in the 14's....all motor....clean little truck..probrably wasnt cheap to build....not bad for a ranger....but that ranger GT was a piece of crap...was the one you raced a square bodied one with I-beams under it?
