When a PCM is flashed, the system we use, pulls GM's latest calibration (OS) and flashes the PCM's chip. You can't pick what OS to choose from when you do it this way. There are options and TSB's you can select from, but that doesn't change the OS.
If you're wanting an older OS, I can't do that, I only use GM's latest OS/updates. But that shouldn't matter, because hptuners has defined what OS's support RTT, not GM's OS's that are available.
In a way you're right, there might be an older OS that supports certain features, such as RTT but, when you choose to use RTT or 2bar, the hptuner program will change your current OS to whatever OS hptuners has allowed RTT or SD tuning.
If you're wanting an older OS that may support RTT, I need to know what OS you need, that way I can flash a PCM with hptuners, send it to you, then you can enjoy RTT.
If your current PCM has the right vin and everything is working OK, then, the problem is that you have too new of an OS that hptuners may not support. I'm talking OS now, not year, model of truck.
An easier way would be to email support at hptuners and ask if they can enable RTT for your truck/file. Tell them you know that some '04's support RTT but the current OS you have doesn't.
IF that fails, then I or we will just have to find an old OS then flash a pcm with it, then send if off.
let me know and this is the best I can explain it, I may be wrong on some things lol, but to sum it up without a lot of details, that's what it boils down to.
let me know,
