ram air hoods?

what do you guys think on the suncoast ram air hoods with heat extractors and cool air systems? versus just a cool air system. is it really worth the money for the hood? what about rain, will rain get in to the intake this way? suncaost wants 1554.00 for everything( hood w/ heat extractors and scoop w/ air raid cool air intake) plus shipping. dies anyone run this on their setup?

I thought about getting one for a while. I like them on some trucks. What else do you have done to your truck?

right now ive got just a 3 inch cat back with a super 44 flowmaster with dual 2.5 turn downs. as soon as the marine corps desides to pay me im putting on the dynatech super maxx headers and cats with a volant cold air w/ the scoop and possibly a nelson tune if he can get one out here in cali for me. i also want to do a cam but dont know much on how big or what kind. but i do know that i love a big cam sound with a good exhaust. it sucks that i lived in san antonio for about 12 years and never heard of nelsons.
i used to have a blue 2001 ext cab that was a full out prerunner. just no power on the street. but shes been put down to sleep....
