i have a 93 4.3 tbi full size long bed single cab

i just got this tranny, i ordered it online,
the stock tranny didn't have 1st gear also

ive checked the see if the tranny is getting power and it is
i grounded out the 1-2 and 3-4 shift soleniods one at a time and
    i could hear them click
i did a ohms check from the power wire to each shift solenoid wire
    and the ohms were good

so i replaced the 2 wires in the harness from the tranny all the way
up to the computer itself hopeing it was just a bad wire, that didn't help

i got a new rebuilt computer from autozone, that didn't help
i got a custom tune prom and that didn't help

when i put the truck into "drive" it takes off in 3rd gear, no power at all
but i can manually shift it into 2nd gear and it has alot more take off power then

but when i manually put it into 1st gear, nothing, it feels like 2nd gear

when im driving going about 20-25mph and down shift from drive to 2nd, i can feel
    it downshift
and then when i downshift from 2nd to 1st, can't feel anything

their is no codes in the computer also

im running out of ideas here
i just called the shop i got the tranny from, and they told me, they would call
their tech guy at home and have him email me and see if we can't troubleshoot it somemore over emails

If you only have 3rd, that means both shift solenoids are off. How's the connection at the case from the vehicle harness to the tranny harness?

You have a short or something stupid.

    Have you checked the fuses?
