    6.0/trans prices?

Guys I have found a 2005 chevy 2500HD at a salvage yard that has been rolled over. It has 30K miles on the 6.0 with auto trans and it is 2wd. The guy is wanting $4900 for the whole truck and said $3500 for the engine/trans/wiring/access/pcm/ Is this about right? I figured $3000 would be top dollar but may be wrong?
Where are you all finding yours? This site has got be glued to putting one of these in my 1996 GMC bad. lol.

Wow thats way to much. Find the cheapest one you can get, an just re build it. It will be the best thing you can do. Never trust anyone about buying motors. "oh yea this 06 lq9 only has 17k miles on it". in reality its a 03 with 50+ lol. Save your self the heart ache an find one, open it up an re build it.

I know this sounds crazy...but, I bought mine (2000 LQ4 6.0L/4L80E)from a guy that totaled it with only liability ins.

I paid $750.00 for it...I know these kind of deals don't come along very often.

(The wrecking yard offered him $500.00)

I'd keep looking...I think you could find one cheaper than that.
