im looking to get a nelson tune but Melissa there says that to get the full potential out of the tune i either need to go there and get a live tune or pull the TCM and get i to them. Has anyone ever removed there TCM. If so, how did you do it and how difficult was it? thanks

The Denali has an internal TCM, located in the transmission. We've tuned many of them, but it's not typical we get someone willing to pull the module from the trans, but it can be done easily.

If it is easily taken out, is there any reason why i wouldnt want to remove it?

I thought the new ones have a PCM and a TCM. He needs to tune both if I understand correctly.

I don't know if he has +08 cores, so that might be why you have to send it to him.

the only reason they need the TCM is to take away additional torque management. How much will the management take away from performance?
If i dont get this removed will i be able to tell a big difference than if it were removed

it makes a big difference on the PCM i know cause mine was a slug stock. after the tune it was like ''wow!!!'' the Titans have the same problem with TM. I got 80% done.

My bad I didnt realize it was for the 08 denali. I didnt even know they had two computers like that. Wierd. But yeah once they take out tq mgmt, even if it is some, you will like it. Its a kick in the pants
