    true duals on my yukon

well im not exactly ready for exhaust yet since i want to wait till i get headers and a tune but im debating on doing true duals since that was my plan if i wouldve gotten a silverado ore sierra pickup. just kinda had some ideas and wondered what some of yall might think. ok 5.3 into pacesetter lt's and ory then get a custom y made with a flange to bolt to the y pipe so that way i can bolt my stock exhaust back up if desired and it would act as a x pipe then split off into two 2 1/2 pipes and into whatever pair of mufflers i decide and either two 3in tips in stock location or two dumps after axle. ive got a set of thrush turbo mufflers center in offset out 2 1/2 that are basicly new im either gona use those or a set of blowmaster 40's. anyway thats my idea any input or changes in design would e apreciated. id like to keep it to where i can bolt my stock system back up that is a big plus

I am a little confused. You want Pacesetter LT's with an off road y and a custom y with a flange to connect back to your stock exhaust right? You also may do true duals. I would think you would be better off getting the custom y to bolt onto you stock exhaust with an electric cutout for the off road or race times. If you do a custom true dual you will need 2 HFC's an H or X pipe and whatever mufflers you want to use. I say Flowmasters, but that is just me. You could also put on cutouts if desired.

True duals would be 2 individual pipes from the headers back. But your drawing will work, but kind of defeats the purpose of doing dual mufflers. I would run the Pacesetter LTs to the 3" ORY..bolt it up to the factory socket joint where the catback bolts up. Then route it to a muffler of choice--but it will be a single 3" in, dual 2.5" out. Then run your tailpipes out the back...

well i know what ya mean about what tds are but was basicly using the joint as the x pipe but i may just do a single and swap out the stock muffler for a spintech or add a electric cutout before the stock muffler

That's what I did and I love it. E-cutouts are badass!
