Well sir, the P0443 Indicates something is affecting your evaporative emission purge soleniod. The fact due to the A/C not blowing cold means either your low on refrigerant or one of your air mix door is fully stuck in the hot position for the heater. I had this problem with a 99 GMC Sierra SL and it was the blender door, despite having sufficient refrigerant charge. you see this OBD II system is designed to monitor emission levels and optimize your fuel economy and doesnt monitor A/C with a P code. P code is for powertrain, and if a trouble code is produced for an A/C blowing hot or whatever, it will be a B code which may or may not turn on a "check engine" light which means a body control module fault code, which can monitor suspensions, power accessories, ABS, electrical faults and stuff like that. The OBD System is very sophiscated and yet tricky. Anyway that ground wire doesnt has anything to do with the A/C not blowing.
