HPE act like they don't care about trucks. from what I hear chuck is a good tuner, BUT, they put my cam in the 5.3 and my motor lasted 2 days. If you had a vette, gto, or f-body Then maybe but I will not take my truck back.

Local guys around Houston can speak out for the quality of HPE and MTIs work. If Gator wants to post his experience thats fine but as your friend from Cali would say your speaking out about HPE or MTI is heresy unless you've had a personal dealing with them.
Yea Chuck was a jerk...I already posted up a book about him a year ago...guess no reason to rehash it...Unless HPE "Chuck" has changed his ways then i would say stay away from him...I know there was a lengthy thread over on LS1tech which led to him being banned..it was very funny yall should read it..

well after becoming friends with charlie and getting to know him a little 2 things are certainly clear.
    1. he's a great guy

    2. he'll never tune my truck again after 3+ months of phone calls, pm's, emails etc.

Charlie is a sponsor on QST and I had spoken to him many times before and stood behind him even though others were starting to say he was hard to get a hold of. Keith was one of the ones that really opened my eyes and from there it became very difficult for even myself to get a hold of charlie. How can you expect someone to stand behind u when they havent heard from u and tried so hard to get in contact with u for such a long period of time? I cant anymore and its a shame cuz the guy ever did a damn thing to me but make my truck run better. I feel like an asshole, but Nelson is getting my business from now on. Plus he can take a look at my engine and see if everything is right or not, something which ive never been able to get anyone to do properly. Charlie is a great tuner for a lot of people, but not for me anymore.

HPE Did my gears and posi over a year ago with no problems at a gre at price. I use their dyno, just have one of the other guys do the pull. They are nice enough. I do all my own engine and exhaust stuff and Nelson does my tuning so really no need to deal with Chuck. They are the closest shop to me with a dyno, like 10 mins away so I could care less if they dont like trucks, they charge the same as all the other dyno shops.. I even got a "damn" out of one of them yesterday after my pull.
