Don't do it! You'll regret it!

4 wheels are safer than 2 by a long shot. Thats why I don't ride anymore. But I still long for the speed.

I wouldnt do it! From your post it doesnt sound like you 'have to' get rid of it so DONT.

However i said 6000+, it may be a longshot around your parts but around here they would go for big bucks in good condition with, etc.

Funny you should mention commute.... I drive 50 miles (each way) to/from work. It'd definitely save on gas to have a bike. I'm hesitant to sell right now b/c the hurricane season is knockin' on South La's door. Just this past weekend, it rained hard enough to flood the street with water. The C10 can barely wade through, but it'll make it. Wife's Armada rides a little taller than the C10. Having the pickup does help. A buddy of mine called and asked if I could haul a dining room set from the store to his home. Can't do that in an Armada.

May not sell.... but... that depends on the cash. There's a late 60's model RS that I see on the way home from work, and it's eggin' for me to stop and ask the owner what's the asking price!

bottom line let the cash do the talking hell with 5k even 7k i wouldnt go less than 8k, if it sells then it sells if not at lease you still have a kick ass nice truck.. i personally look at what i put into one even though you'll never get the sweat and long hours out of it, its the thought of what you did to get it to where its at!!! good luck on whatever you deside, hope you make the right one....

I like the way you think. Honestly, if someone wanted something bad enough they'd pay for it. Not that I would see that offer from every Joe Blow, but it sets a bar for the uncertainty to sell. My uncle told that since I wasn't really sure about selling, just say won't sell for less than $10K. I thought that was steep, but if some joker walks up with a cashier's check for $10K, I'd most likely be handing over the title! <--- not likely to see that much though.

Guess (for now) it looks like I'll be keeping the truck. It does serve a practical purpose, and is paid for. That's the biggest benefit that would outweigh gas consumption.

skeet... i know what you're saying. agree 100%.

wtfan... $5K could buy me a really nice 50mpg 2-wheel machine, but i know what you're saying as well. i'll hold onto it for a lil while longer. planning a trip to a friend in H-town to help me get the tune finalized. Truck runs strong as hell now. Wondering what it'd feel like afterwards.

I agree with the others. I have had various things along the way that I have let go and been sick afterwards. The key to it all is it is paid for and like was said above one of those little ones may want it to carry on where dad left off, just something to think about.
