may or may not be true, but i read on one website that changing from full synthetic to synthetic blend will possibly cure an oil consumption problem. I'm going to try it in two of my familys vehicles next oil change.
Big slow mud truck with a TUNE!!!!!!
i had so much crankcase pressure that it was blowing past the rear seal causing a leak. it only did it when i got on it though. i removed the pvc hose which wasnt letting enough of the pressue out and the leak went away.
i still need to get a filter or something put on it but its been fine running open for now.
the PVC system is a terrible way of dealing with unburnt gases. half burnt vapors running back up thru the intake makes it filthy and it gets all over the injectors also.
a catch can works well or like greg said just put a filter on it.
Oil Catch Can
its basically just an air compressor filter that you would use to trap the moisture in the line for spraying paints. you can get one at home depot or lowes usually.
