    change engine oil light

    i forgot how to reset the change engine oil light it just blinks but it is annoying. if anyone knows which im sure most of you do could you please let me know. if i remember correctly its somthing like turn the key to the on position without starting the truck and tap the gas three times but i cant get it to work if thats it.

    Turn your key to run, but don't start the engine. Pump the gas pedal 3 or 5 times, can't remember. I always do 5 and it works.

    yeah 3 times or more is good. after you pump it turn the key back off, pull it out of the ignition, then put it back in and start it up

    If it hasn't been reset properly for a couple of oil changes, it may take several attempts before it will reset. Just keep trying.

    Note: the gas pedal must go all the way down, then all the way up, three times in a row, within 5 seconds. If you have any floor mats, move them out of the way.
