I have a 2000 silvo 1500 and i was wondering if a hood from a 2000 HD would fit on my truck. i have had some people tell me yes, others no. What is the real answer?? Thanks guys

Yes it will. Several guys have done it. As long as thats all your replacing. Grills and bumpers need additional work. If I'm not mistaken, you need a Sierra bumper if you use an HD grill. May need HD combination light brackets as well since the "Power Bar" on the HD grill is a little thicker. Pretty expensive ($700.00) or so for grill and paint job.

Thanks for the info. I test fit it the other day and like everyone has said (who was right, anyway) it fit perfect. Its getting painted this week and will be on by next week hopefully. Looks almost weird on the non-HD, but then again, im after "different." Thanks again.
