    E Cutout Jamming?

I just changed my plugs and installed Taylor shorties and now my DMH Cutout won't open. I open and closed it several times to listen for any noises in the engine, turned the truck off, cranked it up to leave and it won't open. Anybody have any tips? I checked my fuse and it looks ok, and I can hear some kind of sound coming from the cutout itself when I hit the switch, like it's jammed or something. Thanks guys.

is there a lot of carbon build up? that could be causing them to stick....if so i bet oven cleaner would break down the carbon.....check all the connection...

you may have to remove the motor and try to manually actuate it...

Thanks for the help! I hit it with some WD-40 and cleaned it up as best I could and now it's working great. I've only had it for a month, wouldn't expect that much build up so soon.

well either that or maybe it slipped a little..They make them a pretty tight fit with the blades opening and if it slid iff center a hair it wont open.

Good idea, I'll be sure to check all the clearances if it acts up again!

Yep this thing can't even get out of its own way!
I don't think it's running rich or anything, the tune is still good judging by the ungodly amounts of 93 octane I'm burning. And it FEELS like I'm getting good spark haha.

Once i saw the area in the housing around the bottom of the (butterfly)shaft wallow out a bit, and it was making a pi$$-awful racket. If yours went past that point, i could see it happening..But not in a month!
