so right now i have the lid off my air box which means its also allowing alittle bit of the engine heat to get to it do you think i would be better off putting the lid back on and and cutting a whole in the bottom of the box and let it get cold air from under the truck? sorry about ?s just 16 yrs old trying to get every little bit of horses i can the cheap way

Yes... It has been proven that that mod will make you go faster... At least I know 2k5squirral and the ls1 guys do this mod.

yes... at the very least... here is a pic of mine see how the ''roll cage padding'' seals to the bottom of the hood, so no hot air gets in.
