    the reason i was thinkin the l31 is because i can pick one up for 350-500 and could do a 383 and cam for about the the same or less than a 6.0. im gonna keep lookin for a 6.0 for now may even consider a 5.3 since they are probally more of them available.

    yea im gonna call the local junk yards tommorow and see what they want for a 5.3. and on another note i tore the rear end out of my truck yesterday i think its the ring and pinion what would be a good ratio for 33-35's i have a 5spd and 33's and 5spd now. but will prolly do a v8 swap in a couple weeks. im thinkin 4.56 or 4.88

    Find a cheap 5.3L and do a 383 kit. More cubes than a 6.0L and on a budget.
