Shep from Tennessee just signed up

Hey guys, I found out about ya'll thru dieselplace.com and 67-72chevytrucks.com. I have my granddad's '00 2500 2wd/5.3 that I've been tinkering with since I traded my '01 RCSB 5.3 for my DMAX. I did a few things to my old 5.3, but nothing like what I've seen on here. The guy that had a silver birch Reg Cab for sale in AL...that thing is sick! Does anyone have the link to it? I've lost it. I also have a 72 K20 that I'll be putting a 6.0 or 8.1 in within the next year or so, so I'm on here to learn about what I need to prepare for. Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the site! Since you are new, there are a few things to learn:
    1. Stay away from member DBTBSS. He is a flaming homosexual and he will hit on you. DO NOT send him any PMs cause he will want to try and set up a date with you...
    2. You really don't wanna do an 8.1L for the K20. I would highly recommend going with a 6.0L (LQ4 or LQ9) for that truck. The 6.0L will be able to respond to mods better and it will end up making more power than the 8.1L could.

Other than that, you should view all of our Conversion threads. Some people have already done CK-10/20 swaps. Check out their threads...

Thanks for the advice. I'm not a rainbow warrior by any means. Speaking of flaming...I once saw a license plate that had flames sourrounding a rainbow with the word hemi in the forefront. I don't think there was any doubt!

LOL...funny you say that---I did that to one of my friends once. I wanted to do something discreet to his truck to make it flamingly gay, so I got one of those rainbow license plate brackets and put in on his back plate. Then I got a dime sized rainbow sticker and put it right in the middle between the numbers and letters on the plate. He drove around with that on for like 6 months before he realized it! That made me the happiest little boy in the world!
