    Use 2x4s to support it then use ratchet straps to tie it down, then seran wrap it. A cage isnt needed as it will be picked up with a fork lift and nothing stacked on top of it. Ive shipped 2 trans like that and 2 motors with no problems. Just make sure you reinforce it under the heavier points so the pallet doesnt crack.

    Here's how I do mine and it's through Watkins Trucking. Make sure and screw the motor mounts down to 4X4's with lag bolts and flat washers. $150 delivered to a shop with forklift and $300 to residential without. The price might have gone up a little by now.
