    HEELP.4l60 ?change v/b

    ok heres the deal .ive had a stock trans in my truck all winter while i bought all the parts from flt 4 my new built tranny.my tranny isnt holding in gear and doesnt accept the new inj,and s/c i installed last week.ive been having too keep it in t/h 2 keep the line pressure and somewhat hold it in gear.until i put the inj and sc back on .now its not holding too good.i called my tranny guy here in ny and he informed me he acciently gave me a tranny with the wrong epc in it :
    1.so im thinking get the right epc from him and install it .if possible wile in it
    2.i have a new valve body i can put in,with shift kit.
    3.if ness i have a billet superhold 2 and 4 .

    what im wondering is can these all be done with the tranny in the truck .to buy me some time.
    if so how about a little tutorial lol.any tips for me ,im gonna do this this weekend if possible.ive never tore 1 of these apart but im thinking i can do it with a little help from my friends.lol.seriously tho i need some tips on if this can be done and how exactly.the fluid is still light pink not burned at all,so i id say thats a good sigh that theres no damage in it yet ,thats y im willing to do this.im just not ready to do the swap yet .ive got the winter blues,still have snow on the ground here and im not into changing tranny.i have a lift and all ness equiptment.thanks ahead guys.im looking forward too getting sme help here ,im gonna be lost all by myself in this thing so i want some good info and precautions.

    I'd call FLT on Monday. I say call only because it took me 3 times to read your shorthand/typing to make my brain understand it. No offense intended. I thought I was proof reading my own writing. It would have only taken 2 times if my buddy Jack Daniels had not been helping me read. It took me a month to write a letter to my Home Owners Association. Literally a month. Sucks cause I am the President of it.

    I wish I even knew what an ebc is or was. So I can not answer your question. I know that FLT can, but thats why I had FLT build me a level 5 with billet shafts. If my non mechanical ass tried to rebuild it. My truck would still be sitting there.

    Like I said no offense intended. I am just trying to help.

    Ha...Ramsey, I'll try and help even if Zeake is being a jackass... Seriously Zeake, I know you're not--but I just had to get a jab in there...

    Ramsey--you don't have to change out your valve body unless it is damaged. When putting in your shift kit, you will be dropping the pan, accumulator pistons, valve body, V/B gaskets, etc. I would recommend that you go ahead and take off your tranny pan and drain it NOW so that you won't have a lot of fluid drippinig all over you as you do it. Shift kits are pretty easy, but they do take some time to finish. Just follow the directions. What kit did you buy?I would go ahead and install the servos too. Both of them. They are easy as pie.

    You better not be putting in that new CLEAN VB I sent you. If you are having problems with the loaner trans, get the new one in there. If the trans is messing up it is making debris that will only contaminate it. Vince
