    cam suggestions

    well gettin a new cam on monday.... why... because i can and i need one

    thinking about going with the 228/228 588/588 @ anywhere between 110/111/112


    what would some of you suggest? current setup is the 220/220 581/581 @112+2, LT's, e-fans, volant, UD pullies, and no stall... every now and then some happy spray


    just throwin it out there.... what would you fellas run???

    Alan, are you planning on buying a stall...to me that much cam is gonna kill you low end big time.....Do you have a 6.0?

    that is a big cam...especially if your putting it in a 5.3

    stall will eventually come, and i know itll be hell on me outta the hole... but this thing picks up about 10-15 mph and runs from there... with a larger cam and eventually a stall along with some of the other goodies im throwin in while its all torn down, i plan on it ****tin and gettin once its all done

    Alan--we have already talked about this, but a 112 is going to be in your best interest. A stall is definitely on the shopping list, but I would get your heads reworked first. Danny and I were talking and we both agreed that since you have 150K on your motor (that has NOT had an easy life) needs a top-end rebuild. It would be in your best interest to go have them decked, cleaned up, 3-angle valve job, and have the valvetrain fully balanced.
