    Do the 07+ transmissions have the same mounting locations?
    Currently just doing homework on a swap for my 99 2-door Tahoe

    Hi ... I saw you are already on the way..

    I did some more research. The Gen IV engines have a more complicated wiring. They use two CAN buses, a slow and a high speed one.
    With the ECU,the transmission control modul, and (maybe) the BCM ( Body Control modul) and all of the stuff out of the same truck it could work. I can tell you more in a few months.. I already bought a 2007 Drive train I hope I'll have fun installing it.
    Did anyone do such a swap?
