    FLT 4L65E Level 5 Going In!!

    Well I dropped my truck off at the shop today to have my new FLT trans installed!! Can't wait to get it back tomorrow and see how it drives!! I'm also getting my exhaust wrapped and new Nelson Tune!! I'll take pics tomorrow and hopefully have some timeslips this weekend!!!

    2004 Silverado Crew Cab, forged iron 5.7, STS w/MP turbo, 10+ psi, FMIC, Tial 50mm BOV, Vic Jr, Snow performance meth, MTI Stealth cam .220/.220 .581/.581 115lsa, Comp chromoly pushrods, Yank TT3000 stall, LS1 Efans, 160 tstat, Trucool 40k trans cooler, 60# injectors, Walbro fuel pump, Patriot springs, Built 4l65E w/billet input & output shafts, Eaton posi, SD tuned...all installed by Klein North Automotive

    What is the difference between a 4L60E and a 4L65E?

    No prob. Still trying to figure out how much to wrap. Going to start at the turbo and work forward. I'll take pics on the lift.

    Yes, the cases are the same.

    It's essentially the same tranny. The 65e has 5 pinion planetaries.

    The tuning is to adjust line pressure and shift points that a stock tranny may not be able to hold.
