Jeff, using SeaFoam the way it was INTENDED is not harmful at all--it helps clean out the intake from the EGR and PCV oil recirculation system... It works great if you aren't a moron. It does smoke a lot...white smoke. It looks like a diesel during WOT, but the smaoke is white/light gray...

Put a gallon of diesel in your tank with your next fill up and it'll smoke/clean it out.

LOL...funny you mention that... I used to run a small amount of diesel through my mowers, trimmers, tillers, trenchers, etc. when I had my mowing, landscape, and irrigation business a few years back. Every Spring I would run some Red diesel through them instead of tuning them...worked great every time. but be careful not to run a lot...only a little bit will do the trick!

Im sure that a few of yall have used it and it worked. But say what you want, Im not using it because I have seen and heard of what it does. I personally dont think the combustion chamber, or intake is THAT dirty. Enough to risk catastrophic breakdown.

Oh, it is dirty man, trust me. The PCV valve recirculates the oil fumes into a hose that leads directly into the intake manifold. It then is mixed with the incoming air to the combustion chamber. it gums up the intake and the combustion chamber a lot. People who run NOS don't have to worry about this issue. That is why the Catch Can was developed. After I take my intake off and clean it well, I am going to install a catch can. It is unreal how much oil is caught in those things...
