    whats the code on those nuggets
    old set up: 2002 chevy 5.3, procharger 12lbs boost, asm headers, ls1 edit, flames, 20inch budniks

    New Set up: 2004 chevy 5.3 ext cab, 12 inch twisted suspension lift, 36's, exhaust.
    future mods: 150-200 shot, ls1 edit, air intake, stall, 5.13 gears, 12s or bust

    I believe the blocks are the same. The LQ9 has a high compression ratio over the LQ4. I think the difference is in the heads... maybe pistons, not sure though.

    The only difference in the two , is the lq9 has flat top pistons and the lq4 was dished.
    One is good for cam / head mods, the other for blower.

    So the blocks are the same. Its just the internals that are different.

    make sure you get a 2001 and newer block to. older ones you can bore over that much
