Ok, I have a friend that drives a 04 SCSB 5.3, well my friend has been adding all the bolt-ons an such, an now he wants to make the outside look good. So he was thinking about adding all the SS emblems to the sides an tailgate an buying some used SS rims an maybe the body kit. So basicaly he will make it look like a single cab SS truck. What do yall think about that idea? BTW, are the new SS 20s light weight compaired to all the chrome 20s?

my opinion is that the truck would look cool with the SS stuf on but i would suggest he make sure it can pack a punch. But thats just me i don't like making the truck look fast and it be slow. About the 20's im really not sure but 20's will be heavier than the stock rims no matter what, i have alluminum 20's and they where way heavier than the stock rims.

Thats not a bad idea. BTW, Eric(Bigbody) who are you talking about, do I know him? An where or how would he go about getting ahold of the emblems or rims?

Its such a good idea...iv already started on it.....i have a 2004 Arrival blue RCSB 5.3..Auto...3.73 locking rear..i already have the SS 20's on....i have the emblems..jus waiting on the body pieces....the bumper cover...roll pan....a smooth cowl cover....and the grilles.......i have the same mirrors as the SS...gonna have the headrests emboridered....only noticable difference will be the split seat and not buckets.....over time im gonna buy and build up a 6.0..but for now ill settle w/ tweaking the the 5.3...i have a few pics if youd like to see so far....iv got the wheels on and the body molding off....

What kind of times do the 04 SS trucks run in the 1/4?(stock from factory)

Im not sure were he would get the SS emblems an stuff? Any one else have any ideas?

Hey KaoticKustomSS, If you dont mind me asking, where did you get the SS rims an the emblems? My fiend will be needing to get al the stuff soon to. BTW, post a few pics. of your truck.

Actually...i got the wheels and tires from a guy in Cali....im in Ky....i found them on Ebay.....i also found the emblems on Ebay....they are GM Emblems...i bought them from a company located in Grand Blanc, Mi.....as fas the weight on the wheels....w/ tires....when they were shipped here the ticket said 75# a peice.....i stole those wheels btw..lol...from GM Directly...about $535 a peice...wheel only...i got the wheels..and tires...shipped...all for less than 1500...i think i did good..lol....anyways....tell me how to post pics and ill pos all i have so far
