    Question 90mm TB not working?

Well I put the ported L76 90mm tb on my tbss. Doesn't work? plug-in is the same and plugs right in but, idle's like I gotta monster cam in it. My traction control/ stabiltrac turns itself off also. Any ideas why no worky?

dont know about s/t but i could b either getting 2 much air oor not enough ,i had 2 drill a hole in my plate ,2 idle .ive been through 3 .2 out of 3 did same thing .other said reduced engine power.i heard that the ground if u had 2 install the mechanism on the t/b for dbw ,would cause that .but youres sounds like air to me .my 2 cents.did u have to get tuned for the 90?if not maybe so for air supply .

I think the tac moduel and pedal is differant? I know im looking at doing the TBSS intake swap onto my 5.3 and was told that i need an adaptor for the new 90mm TB to work. Its from LS2, LS7, 90mm throttle body to GM truck or Holden electronic throttle LS1 adapter harness maybe this will work for your truck as well.

I guess I should have thrown in there that the butterfly valve sounds like it opens when I turn the ignition on and start, flooding it with air. I may need that harness to make this tb off the L76 work, or just port the 90mm tb I have on the tbss now. My question is, this is my first port job on a tb that I have done myself. Tb measured 82mm at smallest points and I took it to 92mm. Where the valve is, its still 90mm. I don't think I F'ed up, it has no holes through it. I may just take some pics and sell this ported 90mm unless I can make it work.

I put a GTO TB on a '07 truck, worked just fine. Nothing needed.

Maybe it's stuck in a position and can't get out of.

How can I get it un-stuck? Opens freely by hand. I need to put it back on and pull off the intake tube n check to see if it is stuck open

I got a chance to check it. When I turn the ignition on the tb clicks 5 times but never opens n is not stuck. I start the engine and give it gas it doesn't open. It doesn't respond to anything and still turns traction control off immediately. My guess is this is not a direct replacement application and maybe I won't ASSume gm makes parts interchangeable . Maybe it will work for SC with his harness he's getting?

On the 78mm dbw throttle bodies when you take the throttle blade out for porting, you have to make sure you put it back in the exact place from when you took it out. if not it will put it in REDUCED ENGINE POWER the truck will start but you have no throttle. try loosening the 2 bolts that hold it in while the tb is on the truck and turning the blade a little. it works on the trucks so it might help you out.

Thanx. I will try that, and report back.
