    Trans 4l70E

guy's what kind of power can the 4l70e trans hold up to in a new body style silverado 4WD with the 6.0.. I am thinking of adding some power to this toy. I have a Nelson tune and i love the way it shifts but im thinking with a little more juice things are going to break and want to get out ahead of it.

    Thanks

Shift kit & servos will handle plenty.

    Cool

Here's a kit you can install yourself: https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/home.php?cat=58

Dana has the experience to help you mod yours to handle up to 900HP (less without breaking into the case). Give him a call.

The person you speak of is me. Vince Bielanski shop manager of Finish Line Transmissions and also a paying sponsor of this site. Figured I should introduce myself here. With the 4l70 a shift kit and a vet servo are good upgrades to add to the life of your transmission. I would also recommend a set of aluminum accumulator pistons be installed while doing the shift kit. With this combo the trans should gain some added strength basically until you break it. Good luck with the truck. Vince
