Ive got an 06 chevy crew cab with a 5.3in it and was wondering if a Nelson or Wheatly tune would help out much for pulling power or if I,m gonna have to re-gear to get the power I need.

I'm running a 05 Crew Cabbie with a Nelson tune and now I can't tell when my boat is behind me! A tune will remove the torque managment GM built in and adjust fuel/distributor curves as well. Highly reccommend you get the live tune from Nelson. You will not be disappointed!
'-05 people haulin' 5.3 crew cab. Nelson Tuned! 17.4MPG @ 75MPH...SLOW, but not bad.
What gear ratio do you have? Mine is the crappy 3.23 and I'm wondering if just a tune will be enough or if I need to re-gear also. If I re-gear Im thinkin bout goin 4.10 but not sure how bad that will hurt my gas mileage.
I got nelsons tune a couple months ago and it woke my truck up. I think you will be happy with it. Its money well spent
Slowest in Oklahoma...
I'm running stock 373s...mine came with the tow kit. If you run 410s you will hurt gas mileage a little...you will be running more RPMs to get the MPH you currently run.
What mileage you get with the 323s??? Mine is staying at 17.5 but I do about 80 miles per day just going to and from work.
If you're going the performance way...you might as well forget about gas...for the most part, you can't have both. BUT a well thought out drive train will be efficient...it just may take more fuel to reach it's volumetric efficiency point...gotta trade something for more power.
