    transmission fluid

    dose any one know if royal purple trans fluid meets dexron 6 specs ?

    I looked on their website and could not find out....but I did find the Tech Line #

    96 Formula- Just some bolt on suspension stuff...LT1 350 a4

    06 GMC PU........4.8 and stcok....may get a few things thrown at it.

    i have used it once and it destroyed my brand new trans or thats what the trans shop said i would use only factory fluid but thats my opinion,hope it helps

    I run the motor oil in all my vehicles. I have emailed customer support in the past with questions related to what fluids are appropriate for what applications. They have been very helpful.

    The running suggestion or rule of thumb on this is to NOT run a synthetic in your trans due to too much slippage. Everything seems to grab better with regular fluid.

    thnks for all the info, i was looking on there site earlier today and found were it said it was not compatible with dexron VI.
